Our Luray Cabins are convenient to all of the Northern Virginia Tourist Attractions including Luray Caverns, the Virginia Ski Resorts, the Shenandoah Skyline Drive and smaller attractions like the Shenandoah Valley Civil War Attractions, the Luray Car & Carriage Museum, and Main Street Luray Virginia. Another great attraction to visit in Luray Virginia is the Luray Zoo.
The Luray Zoo offers visitors a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with rare animals like tigers, porcupines, armadillos, a Nile crocodile and gila monster, alligators, a large variety of snakes, small monkeys, rabbits, kookaburras, a group of wallabies,
and so many others. The zoo's primary mission is to serve as a rescue zoo for exotic animals that are unwanted, abused, or confiscated due to their status. Visitors are encouraged to visit and meet the animals.
The zookeepers are often carrying out the day's duties and
are open and willing to give groups a chance to meet the animals. Educational demonstrations take place each day and visitors can walk through the "Land Down Under" area, the Petting Zoo filled with goats, donkeys, pigs, and deer, and check out the Reptile Jungle exhibit filled with one of the largest snake collections on the east coast. The daily Venomous Snake Show allows visitors a glance at a variety of snakes such as king cobras, the black mamba, a West African spitting cobra, and Mexican Green rattlesnakes.
Located just 1/2 mile west of Luray Caverns Virginia, the Virginia Luray
Zoo is open each day in the summer from 10 to 5. Spring,
fall, and winter hours vary so call for schedules. Admission is just $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 3-12 years old,
