Skyland Stables is located in Luray Virginia at Milepost 41.7 and 42.5 on Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park. Skyland offers 1 and 2-1/2 hour guided horseback and pony trail rides in Shenandoah National Park from March 31 through November, weather permitting. To ride a horse, Skyland Stables requires that you be 4’10” and weigh less than 250 lbs. Pony rides are for children aged 5 and under, but feet must reach the stirrups.

Just minutes from Luray Caverns, Jordan Hollow Stables features 140 acres of trails in the Shenandoah Valley. A family owned company, Jordan Hollow Stables trail rides take you past Hawksbill Creek, serene fields, rolling hills, and panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Just down the road from Liberty Valley Farm and only 11 miles from Luray Virginia is Fort Valley Ranch. Fort Valley Ranch is also located in Fort Valley VA, nestled in the Massanutten Mountains of the George Washington National Forest. Fort Valley Ranch is one of the only Luray Virginia area stables open year-round, excluding holidays, that features half day and full day rides into George Washington National Forest. A 48-hour reservation is required for Fort Valley Ranch’s Horseback Riding in Northern Virginia rides, and they include lunch.
